Senator Norman Grant, President of the Jamaica Agricultural Society and CEO of Mavis Bank Coffee Factory Limited says , “As a response to the recent fires in East Rural, St. Andrew in over 10 districts namely, Mavis Bank, Orchard , Line Tree, Flamstead, Content Gap , Pine Grove, Salt Hill, Robertsfield and St Peters; the Mavis Bank Coffee Factory Limited and the Jamaica Agricultural Society are partnering with Hi Pro Farm Store to focus on supporting the farmers who were affected by the fire in the Flamstead District, on Labour Day, Monday May 25, 2015. This will be the Labour Day Project for the three organizations. Senator Grant says further “Hi Pro will be providing 75 bags of feed, 250 Chicks, Medication, seedlings, fertilizer, 2 training seminars and Hi Pro branded items while Mavis Bank Coffee Factory Ltd and the Jamaica Agricultural Society will offer a talk on the topic of Fire Prevention, give seedlings and other farm material inputs to some of the affected farmers.” End of Quote
The day’s events will start at 9am and will go until 3pm and will take place in the square at Flamstead in East Rural St Andrew
